RHA® fillers from Revance are the first and only FDA-Approved Hyaluronic Acid (HA) filler for dynamic wrinkles and folds. HA is naturally occurring in the body and helps to provide moisture, volume, and structure to your skin. Over time, your skin naturally produces less, leading to deflated, wrinkled, or tired looking skin. Using a gentle manufacturing process with few chemical modifications, RHA® fillers preserve the natural structure of the hyaluronic acid, allowing it to mimic the natural HA found in your skin. Because of this, RHA® is resilient enough to adapt to areas of your face with repetitive movement, especially in the lower cheek and around the mouth. There are three levels of RHA® fillers, each with their own unique qualities. Dr. Van Raalte has been trained to recommend the correct RHA® filler for your skin type, facial anatomy, and desired outcomes.
RHA® 2
The most superficial of the three RHA® fillers is injected in the mid to deep dermis. With a proven ability to stretch naturally with the contours of your face, RHA® 2 can be used in the lower cheek, nasal labial folds, and around the mouth.
RHA® 3
Considered to be the ‘utility filler’, RHA® 3 provides a step up in strength while not sacrificing the stretch and mobility seen in RHA® 2. It is injected in the mid to deep dermis, and is most effective at treating nasal labial folds, marionette lines, and mental creases below the mouth.
RHA® 4
This is the strongest RHA® filler, helping to correct deep lines and provide volume, while still allowing for a high level of motion. Injected into the deep dermis to subcutaneous layer, RHA® 4 is highly effective for those with thick skin or patients wanting more pronounced volume throughout the cheek, midface, or nasal labial folds.
