WE HAVE VOLLURE!

Allergan, the pharmaceutical company that owns Juvéderm, announces its newest hyaluronic acid dermal filler, Juvéderm Vollure XC, which corrects “moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds.” This filler lasts as long as 18 months — a full year longer than some other injectables. NEW!

We now have Exparel®, a long-acting, non-narcotic numbing agent for after surgery that reduces pain for up to 72 hours (there is a slight upcharge). Want to know more? Call us at 563-322-8877!

Exparel® is a non-narcotic local analgesic that is administered during your procedure directly into the surgical site. A single application is long-lasting, so your doctor doesn’t need to use catheters or other devices to extend pain control. Exparel®, which is not a narcotic, has been proven to help patients use fewer narcotics as they start their recovery.

Just like a dentist numbs your mouth when you get a filling, surgeons use Exparel® to numb the particular area on your body where your surgery is performed. Its slow-release ingredient makes it possible for Exparel® to control pain after surgery and potentially decrease your need for narcotic medication with just a single dose. It starts controlling pain before you wake up from surgery.

It may last up to three days, either markedly decreasing or even avoiding the need for narcotic medicine. For those patients either scared of discomfort or those with nausea from narcotics, this is a great option.
