How Does TruSculpt 3D Differ from CoolSculpting?
TruSculpting 3D differs from CoolSculpting in a number of ways. While CoolSculpting utilizes a process called cryolipolysis to freeze fat cells using cold temperatures, TruSculpt instead administers RF energy to the fat cells, melting them away.
TruSculpt 3D achieves a higher percentage of fat reduction in the treated areas than CoolSculpting can, making it a more effective option. It is also generally a less expensive procedure than CoolScultping.
CoolSculpting may leave behind sagging skin, since it cannot treat skin laxity. Because of this, CoolSculpting patients are required to have a high degree of skin elasticity. TruSculpt 3D is able to effectively tighten sagging skin, meaning more effective toning and contouring in the treated areas.
The use of CoolSculpting is also limited, since the treated area needs to be inserted into a cup-like device. With TruSculpt 3D, there is no such requirement, so it can effectively reduce fat for people who are too big or too small for the CoolSculpting device. TruSculpt 3D also makes it easier to reach areas like the underarms, shoulders, and neck.
What Is a TruSculpt 3D Session Like?
This FDA-approved treatment can take anywhere between 15 and 60 minutes, depending on the area treated. It starts with the application of a gel to the area. Then the TruSculpt 3D device is used to emit radiofrequency energy pulses over the area to heat the fat. Some say it feels like getting a hot stone massage.
After Your TruSculpt 3D Treatment Session
You will be able to return to normal activities on the same day as the treatment without any recovery time needed. It is common for a degree of temporary swelling, redness, and lumps to be present for a few weeks after treatment.
