reloxin®

Reloxin is a cosmetic procedure used to relax the muscles that cause wrinkles and other signs of aging. Similar to BOTOX Cosmetic, Reloxin is an injectable form of botulinum toxin type A that prevents targeted muscles from contracting and effectively reduces the appearances of wrinkles. Results of Reloxin can last just as long as BOTOX, which is typically 4-6 months. Injections can be repeated as side effects are minimal.

Reloxin has been effective in treating motor disorder and muscular spasticity such as cervical dystonia and cerebral palsy spasms, but is now utilized for cosmetic purposes as well. Reloxin is pending FDA approval, but is expected to be a major competitor for BOTOX.

Restylane®

Restylane is the first cosmetic dermal filler made of non-animal-based hyaluronic acid. Approved by the FDA, Restylane is designed to match your skin, smoothing wrinkles, sculpting lips or shaping facial contours. With its unique ability to bind with water, Restylane is able to perform for many months in your skin. The most common areas for a Restylane treatment are the glabellar lines (between the eyebrows) and the nasolabial folds (from the root of the nose to the angle of your mouth).
